Barns in the wonderful winter landscape in the Sertig Valley, Switzerland. The Sertig Valley is located in the municipality of Davos, south of the town, in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. The small village of Sertig Dörfli (at 1,861 m) is accessible by road, 15 min. from Davos. In february 2018 Davos had a very spectacular visit of the President of the United States.

From Basel, Switzerland. In my artwork (watercolor and mixed media) I do focus on the extraordinary light and atmosphere that we find in nature, landscapes and alpine scenes. To capture this mood in my pictures is my challenge and passion. My Watercolor Paintings are done primarily in negative painting technique that means carving out shapes from the underpainting by painting around objects instead of painting them directly. I love to paint in a loose, expressionist, impressionist or semi-abstract way. I never try to copy the perfection of nature! I rather chose a loose approach with creative colors, unusual composition and with passionate brushstrokes.
