Autumn Grapes Symphony metal print by Sabina Von Arx. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
The palette of autumn are warm reds, yellow, brown, green gold and sunny oranges. I started the painting with a bold underpainting of the above colors and then proceeded to carve out shapes by painting around the berries and the leaves. The dark branches as a value contrast were painted last. If we reproduce flowers and fruits in a realistic way we will always loose against natures perfection. I have chosen a semi abstract, expressionistic approach. Most of my watercolor paintings are done in negative painting technique that means carving out shapes by surrounding them instead of painting them directly.

From Basel, Switzerland. In my artwork (watercolor and mixed media) I do focus on the extraordinary light and atmosphere that we find in nature, landscapes and alpine scenes. To capture this mood in my pictures is my challenge and passion. My Watercolor Paintings are done primarily in negative painting technique that means carving out shapes from the underpainting by painting around objects instead of painting them directly. I love to paint in a loose, expressionist, impressionist or semi-abstract way. I never try to copy the perfection of nature! I rather chose a loose approach with creative colors, unusual composition and with passionate brushstrokes.
